Buck is a mixed-media contemporary artist whose work reimagines the grit of the American West. With a bold visual language that fuses contemporary art with Western Americana, His pieces often draw inspiration from classic Hollywood, vintage photos, cowboy iconography, wild horses, and classic Americana, transforming familiar symbols into vibrant, modern artifacts.
Buck has shown with many pop artists and street artists such as Mr. Brainwash, Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Mars , Alec Monopoly and many others in the LA art scene. He has also worked with clients such as Vin Diesel, Dr. Dre, Saint Laurent in Paris, Whitney Houston, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bernie Ecclestone (owner of Formula One Racing), Larry Hagman, Drew Barrymore, Markus Persson (creator of Minecraft), Ruby Bridges (painted by Norman Rockwell), Donna Summer, Bruce Makowsky, Kathy Van Zeeland, BAM Luxury Development, International House Hotel and many others. After many years of doing pop and street art Buck returned to his roots and started painting the American West.
I work in many layers weaving airbrushed acrylics, collage, and found objects like a tapestry. I usually work on a series of 10-12 pieces at once. Most of my work is inspired by American history and vintage photos and old movies. I grew up without a tv in the house and immersed myself in books. I could read before I went to kindergarten. I love being surrounded by vintage Americana signs, ads, books, toys…. anything that represents the American West.” – Buck
